Culturesmart’s training programs prepare bilingual healthcare staff to serve as medical interpreters. Since 1995, our programs have trained interpreters to facilitate accurate, complete communication between patients with limited English proficiency (LEP) and their providers. Culturesmart’s curricula, language screening, skills assessments, and other consulting services enable healthcare organizations to continually improve the quality of LEP patient-provider communications.
Culturesmart, in collaboration with Quincy Medical Center will offer The Essential Piece 45-Hour Training for Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese speakers, starting September 11, 2010.
The Essential Piece to start at Newton-Wellesley Hospital on September 18, 2010. Speakers of Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish are encouraged to apply. Speakers of other languages may also register.
